Deschamps: Germany a class above

France manager Didier Deschamps believes Germany are on another level compared to his team, due to their vast experience.

Les Bleus are preparing to take on the defending world champions in an international friendly in Cologne on Tuesday, and Deschamps expects a tough encounter.

"I think Germany are a level above us given their experience, even if Joachim Low has brought a lot of young players into his squad," he said at the pre-match press conference.

"You just need to look at when this adventure began for Germany. It was back in 2004 and they only won the title in 2014. It is with time that you gain that kind of experience.

"We are still behind in that regard. But every match and every get-together allows my players to progress and acquire extra experience."

The last team to beat Germany was France in the Euro 2016 semi-finals when they claimed a 2-0 victory. Since then, Low's side have gone unbeaten for 20 games.
