Nagelsmann dreams of becoming Bayern boss

Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann admits he fantasises about taking charge of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old got one over his opposite number, Carlo Ancelotti, on Saturday when his side surprised the defending Bundesliga champions 2-0 thanks to a brace from Mark Uth.

Nagelsmann is reportedly the favourite to take over from Ancelotti at the Allianz Arena, and with pressure mounting on the Italian, it could happen sooner rather than later.

“FC Bayern plays a big role in my dreams. I lived in Munich for many years. I come from Landsberg am Lech, not so far from Munich," said Nagelsmann, according to the Mirror.

“My wife and my kid will also move to Munich shortly. We’re building a house there. It’s our hometown.

“But even if I never get the chance to manage FC Bayern, I’d still die as a happy person.

“I’m very happy in life - however, FC Bayern would make me even happier. But it does not mean that my life fortune totally depends on FC Bayern.”
